ACE x FEA Symposium: Creating a Healthier Generation
April 27th 2026
The ACE x FEA Symposium successfully concluded on April 27th, 2026, marking a landmark moment for the Maldivian fitness industry as the American Council on Exercise (ACE) was hosted in the Maldives for the very first time in collaboration with FEA Academy Maldives.
This one-day symposium brought together fitness professionals, coaches, and enthusiasts from across the country, all committed to advancing their knowledge and contributing to a stronger, more informed industry.
Delivered by an ACE Global Wellness Spokesperson, the symposium featured four focused sessions, addressing two of the most relevant and pressing areas in today’s Maldivian context:
Youth fitness and long-term athletic development
Active aging and exercise for senior adults
Throughout the sessions, participants gained valuable insights into how to better guide younger populations toward healthier lifestyles, while also understanding the importance of safe, structured training approaches for the aging population.
The sessions focused on:
Building strong foundations for youth through movement, education, and habit development
Designing appropriate training strategies for senior adults with a focus on longevity and function
Understanding the role of fitness professionals in preventive health and community well-being
Applying global best practices within the local Maldivian context
Participants were also awarded Continuing Education Credits (CECs), supporting their professional development and ensuring their knowledge remains aligned with international standards.
More importantly, the symposium created a bridge between global fitness education and local accessibility, allowing Maldivian trainers to learn directly from one of the world’s most recognized fitness organizations without leaving the country.
As highlighted by Riyash Riyaz, Partner and Director of FEA Academy Maldives, this milestone reflects a bigger vision to make quality, skills-based fitness education accessible and relevant to the local industry, while continuously supporting trainers in their growth and development.
This event reinforces a clear direction: The Maldives fitness industry is evolving and education remains at the center of that progress.
Thank you to everyone who participated, contributed, and took part in this historic step forward for fitness education in the Maldives.
