About the Course
This module is designed to elevate your ability as a fitness practitioner by focusing on effective exercise coaching techniques. The course emphasizes delivering clear, concise, and impactful instructions to ensure clients understand and perform exercises safely and effectively.
You will learn to:
Use optimal coaching cues to enhance client understanding.
Break down complex movements into manageable components.
Apply various teaching methods, including auditory, visual, and tactile cues, to accommodate different learning styles.
Building on the technical knowledge from Module 1 and earlier sessions, this module equips you to deliver exceptional personal training sessions that maximize client outcomes while enhancing your professional expertise.
In addition, the module explores applied exercise science, covering essential topics such as anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, bioenergetics, and nutrition. This scientific foundation helps you minimize injury risks, design safe and effective training programs, and coach with evidence-based principles.
Prerequisites
Successful completion of Module 1 – Fitness Instructor (Exercise Technique).
Must be 18 years old or above.
Completed high school (college or university graduates are an advantage).
Course Validity
Each module is valid for 1 year from the activation date. Participants must complete all assessments, assignments, and exams within this timeframe. After expiry, re-enrollment or extension is required.
Modules 1 and 2 must be completed within 2 years to ensure knowledge retention and continuity. If exceeded, participants must retake relevant exams (fees apply).
Assessments
1. Theory Exam (50%)
• Format: 100 multiple-choice questions.
• Duration: 120 minutes, proctored online.
• Typically scheduled during week 4 of the course.
• Exam registration is required by the last day of the course.
2. Practical Exam (50%)
• Requirement: Submit a video of yourself coaching a beginner through 5 exercises (options provided).
• Evaluation: Based on the coaching standards taught in class.
• Submission deadline: Same day as the theory exam.
• Passing grade: 70% or higher.
Certification
Upon successfully completing the course, passing the exams, and meeting all requirements, you will earn the FEA Certified Fitness Practitioner – Fitness Instructor (EQF Level 3) certificate, awarded by Fitness Edutraining Asia (FEA).
